| Rare dinosaur traces found in Scotland |
This makes Skye, an island in Scotland as one of Europe's largest dinosaur sites. Sauropods found traces shaped footprints of a giant that is now shaped rocks. Traces of these leads to the east coast of the island.
The discovery was reported by several international media such as the Daily Mail, Guardian, and Lonely Planet. Citing various sources, on Wednesday (02/12/2015), is estimated to be hundreds of sauropods that lived on the island. They are thought to have lived 170 million years ago.
Sauropods is a type of dinosaur with a length of about 15 meters and weigh up to 10 tons. This discovery is one of the largest in the world of science and discovery of dinosaur. Skye island has also become a tourist destination because of the many tourists trail and dinosaur fossils.
